JUSTIFICATION
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), "obesity is a serious health condition for children and adolescents. The prevalence of obesity has increased for children aged 6–11 years from 6.5% to 17.0%. For example, during their youth, obese children and adolescents are more likely to have risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease (such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and Type 2 diabetes) than are other children and adolescents."

36 million Americans struggle with hunger, including 13 million children. Every dollar you gave by asking others to donate, helped to provide 7 meals for families struggling with hunger. Hunger is a community issue we can't ignore. It's everywhere we look. It is a reality for many American, even in our own backyards. People in every community face the risk of going hungry. And allowing people in our midst to go hungry, even for a day, is a reflection on us all and is unacceptable. Thank you all for taking a stand by volunteering and Making a Difference! You may visit www.feedingamerica.org to learn more. Canned goods were also donated.
