Taylor
participated in Lackey Mission’s Week where she put in over 45 hours of volunteer hours. She and other youth from Rising Sun and Seaford Baptist Church participated in activities such as prayer walks, evangelism and Senior Care. Taylor is seen here painting a room in the house of an elderly lady.

 

Taylor was a special guest performer at the Relay For Life on July 11 at Tabb High School. She sung “Amazing Grace” during the Luminary Ceremony.

Taylor joined several other former and current title holders at the Sentara Nursing Center in Chesapeake. Taylor colored with the residents and performed for them. Taylor wishes to thank Carolyn and Andolyn Medina for inviting her to attend this event.

 

September 19, 2009 - Denbigh Days Parade and "Chef's Party"

Taylor also celebrated her 11th birthday later that day with a “Chef’s Party”. Her guests all made chef’s hats and aprons and created their own personal pizzas and decorated cupcakes.

Taylor was a special guest at the Miss York County Princess party on Sunday, October 4th where she helped the princesses make crafts and entertained them with a song.
 

On October 17th Taylor was a guest at the Miss Norfolk Pageant where she sang the National Anthem and performed "Defying Gravity".
Taylor was a special guest judge for the costume contest and participated in the walk with her dog, Banker. Event was held Sunday, Oct. 25th

January 18, 2010 - Taylor was a special guest performer at the 2010 Martin Luther King Jr Youth Oratorical Competition & President’s Volunteer Service Awards program where she was awarded with a Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award for putting in over 100 hours of community service in 2009.

February 13, 2010 - York Convalescent Center visit. They performed and did valentine crafts with the residents

February 13, 2010 - The girls attended the Heart of the Arc Ball. It was a Valentine’s Day dance for the Arc of Greater Williamsburg. The Mission of The Arc of Greater Williamsburg is to improve the well-being of older teens to senior citizens with intellectual disabilities through the provision of monthly social, educational, and recreational activities, while providing respite for their families and caregivers. The girls were invited by Lizzy Mothershead to volunteer at this event.
